Training horses always involves some risk of injury (or even death) to the horse, the trainer, any spectators, equipment used, etc. - this risk is totally your own as you will be making your own judgements on what to do. As with any suggestions on any subject you must weigh them out for yourself and proceed accordingly - at your own risk.

Wisely ensure your horse ties VERY well - as in it knows to yield rather than pull back even if it gets surprised - AND it can stand patiently for hours while tied - BEFORE you begin to teach it to be tied on a highline picket. Yes do the prep work FIRST. This video of tips is being done with horses who have had that prep work done. Be wise and do the prep work FIRST.
